We provide inclusive play sessions for young people with additional needs and their families every single Friday and Saturday throughout the year.
During school holidays, we aim to provide families with a range of activities facilitated by our brilliant playworkers. Our play sessions offer an opportunity for families to connect over a cuppa and cake, and to relax in the knowledge that our play environment is secure and gated.
As a non-profit organisation, we rely on donations to run our service. We’re incredibly grateful to the John James Bristol Foundation for funding our Easter activities. Here’s what we got up to…
Punch and Judy extravaganza
We booked not one but TWO Punch and Judy shows to make both kids and adults giggle throughout Easter Saturday. Entertainers Tricky Micky and Professor James Gordon did a fabulous job.
In our covered outdoor space, our playworkers created a workshop for young people to make their own lip scrub from natural ingredients. With donation money from Axis Foundation, we recently bought dolls heads for our budding hair stylists to practise their skills in the sunshine.
We’ve been in crafting heaven this April – our playworkers created tables full of Easter-themed materials for our kids to get creative with.
Making meals memorable
Sometimes it’s okay to play with your food, right? This April we began our DIY menu and offered ‘build your own’ pizzas, fajitas and loaded fries for young people to enjoy taking ownership and getting creative with their dinner. Meals are served as individual, sectioned trays of ingredients for kids to personalise. We’re all for turning dinner into a fun and informative experience!
We offer hot meals at every Friday session to take one thing off parents’ plates at the end of the week!
Accessible, inclusive play sessions
To help support families with the cost of living, we offered ticket price options, including an option to help another family out by paying forward or selecting a free ticket if the usual £4 isn’t possible this time.
Help us to help you
Your donations enable us to pay our passionate playworkers who dedicate their weekends to making sure families relax and have fun in a safe and inclusive environment.
With donations, we pay for use of The Vench Adventure Playground’s indoor and outdoor space, provide hot meals, create welcome packs jam-packed with SEND-related tips and advice and book brilliant professional entertainers.
If you have anything spare, please donate to Incredible Kids and help us continue doing what we love and supporting families across Bristol.
