Who We Are

Incredible Kids is a Bristol-based charity dedicated to providing inclusive play sessions for children and young people with additional needs or disabilities, along with their families. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space where families can enjoy meaningful play, forge friendships, and feel supported. Whether you’re looking for advice, a listening ear, or a fun family outing, Incredible Kids is here for you.

Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea. When local disability services were lost, our founder Jennie worked with parents to create a space where families could gather, play, and share experiences. Starting with toy-filled church halls and cups of tea, we’ve grown into a resilient charity that remains committed to its grassroots values. Today, we continue to be a lifeline for families across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

What We Offer

Our play sessions are at The Vench Adventure Playground in Lockleaze, Bristol, BS7 9TB, a fully wheelchair-accessible venue. Each session is thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse needs, helping children and their families feel included and understood.

Incredible Play Sessions:

• Incredible Saturdays: Enjoy family play sessions with something for everyone – from trampolines and sensory rooms to slime-making and crafts. Four pre-bookable sessions run every Saturday.
• Incredible Fridays: After-school play sessions include fun activities and a complimentary hot meal with dessert for children. Families can even help with meal preparation!
• Quiet Sessions: For families seeking a calmer environment, our extra-quiet Saturday morning sessions cater to just seven families at a time.
• Incredible Girls: Held monthly, these sessions support girls with additional needs and their siblings in forming friendships through creative, messy, and adventurous play.
• PDA Support Sessions: Led by parents of children with Pathological Demand Avoidance, these play sessions offer a chance to connect with others, share experiences, and access tailored support.

Joining Us

Membership is open to all families with children or young people up to 25 years old who have additional needs or disabilities. No diagnosis is required to join. After signing up, families can pre-book their sessions through our easy-to-use system. You don’t need a diagnosis to attend our events but you must be a member. Sign up for membership here.

Our journey has been shaped by resilience, adaptability, and a strong focus on meeting families’ needs. Even during challenging times, like the 2020 lockdowns, we kept our play sessions running, one of the few charities in the region to do so.
