BBC Children in Need awarded us just under £10,000 a year for three years starting in 2019. This grant will fund a supervisor to run our sessions and help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people right here in Bristol. Incredible Kids supports children and young people with additional needs and disabilities alongside their families.
Trustee Jennie Prewett said "This funding will mean we can run more sessions and help more families in Bristol. Without the support of BBC Children in Need we would not be able to do this". BBC Children in Need relies on the generosity and creativity of the thousands of supporters and fundraisers who raise millions of pounds for the charity every year. To date the UK public has raised over £1 billion for children and young people facing disadvantage across the UK.
The Burden Trust kindly donated £5000 towards the running costs of our sessions in 2018 and £5000 in 2019. The Burden Trust support charities which help people in need in the Bristol Area. We are very grateful for their ongoing support of our work helping disabled children in Bristol.
The Nisbet Trust funded one of our playworkers for three years until 2022. Our playworkers help children and young people at our sessions to have fun, stay safe and make friends. Without our playworkers families tell us they would find it impossible to visit our sessions.
Founded in 2011, The Nisbet Trust is an independent charitable trust which supports charitable causes in the Greater Bristol area.
Souter Trust donated £4,000 in July
