Session Supervisor

Salary: £19,500 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 12.5 -25.5 hours per week (Hours of operation vary between Term time and School Holiday)

We are recruiting for a an exciting new role funded by Children in Need for three years. As a session supervisor you will manage sessions, work with parent carers, and welcome children and young people with additional needs and their siblings. The role will also include IPSEA training up to Level Three Advanced SEND law over the three years the role currently has funding for.

The job purpose is to assist in, supervise, and delegate the day to day organisation of Incredible Kids sessions, welcoming, supporting and advising parent carers whilst ensuring a welcoming, safe, caring and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 0 – 25 with a disability, developmental difficulty or any additional needs and their siblings.

We will consider a job share arrangement.

Your hours of work include the following:

Term time:

Tuesdays 3.30m-7pm;

Fridays 3.30pm-7pm;

Saturdays 12.30pm-6pm and

2 Saturdays a month with extended hours 9am–6pm to include our specialist sessions.

TBC Mondays 3.30pm to 7pm (We do not yet operate on Mondays in term time but plan to extend our opening hours.)

School Holidays:

Mondays 12.30pm – 6pm

Wednesdays 2.30pm-6pm;

Fridays 12.30pm – 6pm;

Saturdays 12.30pm-6pm and

2 Saturdays a month with extended hours 9am–6pm to include our specialist sessions.

Playworker (12.5-22 hours)

We are recruiting for a number of play worker roles for our busy play sessions for children with additional needs and disabilities at our centre in Littleton Upon Severn in North Bristol/South Gloucestershire. This is a permanent role subject to ongoing receipt of funding.

Part-time Play-worker to focus on the needs and enjoyment of the young people who attend our sessions whilst assisting in the day to day organisation of Incredible Kids sessions. Ensure quality play activities are facilitated within a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children and young people aged 0 – 25 with a disability, developmental difficulty or any additional needs, and supporting their families.

Hours available:

Hours in term time will include after school sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays 3.30pm to 7pm and Saturdays 12.30pm to 6pm. (12.5 hours)

In school holidays hours will include Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays 12.30pm to 6pm. (22 hours per week)
Location: Whale Wharf, Littleton Upon Severn, Bristol, BS35 1NP. (15 minutes from Bradley Stoke/Cribbs Causeway, 5 minutes from Aust motorway junction, there is no public transport to this area so you will need to make your own transport arrangements)
Contract: Fixed Hours, permanent contract.
Rate of pay: £8.50 per hour

Contract Duration: Six month Temporary role, to be reviewed at the end of the six months.

Hours: one day a month (8 hours a month).

Location: Home based role.
